We are pleased to share details of the upcoming METHYLOMIC workshop, “DNA Methylation for IBD Precision Medicine" taking place during UEG Week 2026 in Barcelona on 19 October 2026.
The one-hour program will focus on the potential role of DNA methylation in precision medicine for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including its application as a biomarker for therapeutic stratification. The workshop will bring together clinical, scientific, patient, and payer perspectives and conclude with a multidisciplinary panel discussion.

Investigators and Site Staff who are attending UEGW are encouraged to join the workshop. The program provides an opportunity to hear directly from METHYLOMIC investigators and collaborators about the scientific rationale for methylation-based biomarkers, current evidence supporting therapeutic stratification, and considerations for translating these approaches into clinical practice.
